Education Innovation & Research (EIR)

Education Innovation & Research (EIR)

Education, Innovation, and Research (EIR) is a 5-year grant funded by the US Department of Education that provides funding to create, develop, implement, replicate, or take to scale entrepreneurial, evidence-based, field-initiated innovations to improve student achievement and attainment for high-need students and rigorously evaluate such innovations. The EIR program generates and validates solutions to persistent educational challenges and supports the expansion of effective solutions to serve substantially larger numbers of students. The precursor to EIR was the Investing in Innovation (i3) grant.
